Abi was at MLC pool with Priscilla only, on Saturday afternoon, a bit tired from the morning's play. We found out who was the teacher (Katie) then waited until the lesson time. Abi occasionally said that she didn't want to go swimming, but was otherwise happy. Then when the moment came to enter the water, Abi started to panic and cry, putting her fingers into her mouth as usual. The teacher chose to carry Abi around in the water to familiarise her and calm her down. Then Abi swam reluctantly at first then started to muck around blowing bubbles while waiting. She didn't do as much over arm swimming as with her regular teacher Lorraine, and there was no horsey ride or mat ride. Pretty boring. One of the boys in the class spat at her but Abi said that she did nothing in return.
Afterwards Abi was asked what she thought of the teacher and lesson. She said that she it was ok but agreed with Priscilla that the teacher was not tough enough (making her do hard stuff). In any case Abi held off sleeping until afternoon tea at Por Por's place, then had a one and a half hour nap during the drive home.
