Abi had started a drawing of a flower standing in grass. She needed help to draw leaves on the flower. Priscilla suggested that they go outside to see what leaves looked like, and to collect some for copying in her drawing.
After picking up some differently shaped leaves (Lavender, Nandina, Fig, clover, eucalypt), Abi went inside and asked her mother to copy one of them onto a sheet of practice paper. She then traced the same shape that Priscilla drew a la join the dots, then asked her mother to put that leaf drawing onto the flower. Abi then coloured in the leaves neatly.
Later Abi used sticky tape to put the leaf collection vertically on one side of the flower drawing.
