Pascale and Priscilla went up to the fence to see Abi in the playground - she was sitting at the standpit next to Mei, one of the teachers. One of the girls there told Abi that her mum was there, and Abi ran to greet us.
We went with her to the toilet, then she produced a breadstick from her bag and ate it in a flash. As we walked out of Blackfriars, we took the stroller and searched for her hat. Then Abi remembered that it was in the hat box for the older children and found it. As we got into the car, she asked for something to eat (customary). All Priscilla found were sultanas and dried apricot in the car seat. One fell to the ground but Abi scooped it up hungrily before her mother could intervene (!) She said that all she ate for lunch was mashed potato, carrots and peas.
Back at home dinner was served as soon as we got into the house, and Abi ate it all (risoni with braised chicken sprinkled with shredded cheese). After the bath when it was dessert time, Abi ate the customary bowl of yoghurt with oat flakes, then asked for more. She then ate a whole banana as well as a quarter of an apple. Topped off with sip of milk and sip of water.
