A milestone for Abigail today, as she took the house keys from the box on the hall table, found the correct house key (colour coded), inserted and opened the screen door to let herself and Pascale out into the front garden.
Parents were chatting and putting away dinner leftovers, thinking all was okay cos the front screen was locked! Chris was horrified to hear the gate squeak and rushed to find 2 kids heading up the street hand in hand. Chris gave Abi a talking to, then Priscilla did as well after she calmed down (stayed inside the house).
Abi was surprised at the fuss about danger, and wanted to remind the adults that she found the key and opened the door all by herself. She was proud of that achievement and got acknowledgement of sorts from mum.
